Any enquiry to book the Gîte or check availability can be done by email, by telephone on our contacts page.

If these dates have been confirmed by us to be available and you want to reserve them as your holiday booking then we require you to complete the booking form and pay an non-refundable booking fee of 30% of the total rental amount.

If this deposit is not received within a reasonable time given by us then we reserve the right to give notice that the reservation of the property is cancelled.

We will then send you a confirmation statement to you confirming the reservation of our property. Once the deposit has been paid this is the formal acceptance of the booking.   We will then make arrangements for a further 30% future payment.

8 weeks prior to your stay or shorter period if you have booked less than 8 weeks before your arrival date, the 40% balance of the total payment is required, plus Taxe de Sejour at 1.37 Euro per night of stay per person (required by french tax law)

Reservations made within 8 weeks of the start of the rental period require full payment at the time of booking.

In the unfortunate event of a cancellation, it must be made formally in writing to us without delay as we may be able to re-advertise these weeks and if appropriate at the time refund the deposit.

There will be on arrival a security deposit of 300 Euros (cash or cheque) in case of damage to the property or its contents or of the shared garden or its contents. The security deposit will be held by us will be applied against any cleaning, repair or replacement caused by means other than wear and tear during your rental of our property. Following the check of the property and its contents prior or after the departure and everything is deemed in good order then the security deposit will be returned to you within 4 working days, not later than 30 days.

We do expect our guests to leave the Gite in the clean and tidy condition that they find it in. for longer stays we do offer a cleaning service and change of bedding, the cost of this is 25 euros per hour of cleaning. all chargeable expenses must be settled before departure..

We strongly recommend that you arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy (including cancellation cover). Full cover for personal belongings, public liability, since these are not covered by the owner’s insurance. 

Holiday insurance is definitely recommended so you are covered for any Covid 19 restrictions that may arise before or during your visit. If due to government instructions/restrictions you are unable to take your holiday we propose to offer you a voucher for the amount paid for another holiday period up to 12 months in the future or a full reimbursement. If however the travel restrictions fall when you are here in our property, then unfortunately we cannot refund the monies paid if you choose to leave us and return home.

Covid 19 and Cleaning of our Gite. Our Gite is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected immediately after each guests departure. We do expect our guests to clean up after themselves in our Gite and that on departure leave it as it was found. i.e. rubbish taken down to the bins, cups and plates washed or being washed in the dishwasher.

All carpets, sofa coverings (loose covers) are thoroughly cleaned. All bed linen and cushion covers are machine washed, bed mattresses are aired for at least 2 hours. Special waterproof mattress covers are cleaned and replaced. The floors in the Gite are all tiled so will be steam cleaned prior to your visit. A laundry box with a linen liner bag is left in the gite and we do expect you to strip the bed and place the bed linen and dirty towels in this bag before you leave. This will hopefully protects us and you from any cross-infection.

To be able to make sure the Gite is thoroughly clean as stated above we request that you do not arrive before 5pm on the first day of your stay. If you can keep in contact with us on your day of arrival to let us know when you are expecting to arrive at our property, then we can be sure to be here at your time of arrival to welcome you. Our own home is next door to the Gite (it shares our garden and swimming pool) and we like to welcome our guests on arrival.

Departure is requested not later than 10.00am so we can start to do all the thorough cleaning etc to welcome the next holiday makers like as we did for you.

Guests may arrive from 4pm but may be available earlier by prior arrangement.

The maximum number of adults in our Gite is 2 and a baby or a small child is welcome as well as a pet dog (max 2 dogs). We have a cot available on request as well as dog towels for your pooch.

An extra cleaning fee is charged at 30 Euro per visit for dogs.
